A Little Punch Art and Some Sponged Clouds

Ok so here is my take on a punch art hot air balloon and some sponged clouds....  Using a punch from the SU scallop circle and starting from the top of the page, I randomly sponged to create my clouds...  My suggestion would be to practice on a piece of scrap to get a little comfortable with it.

Ok then I punched out 5 scallop circles and one small heart from the heart trio punch-glued to the center of one scallop circle and ran all that thru the dotted embossing folder, scored them down the middle and folded them in half.  I alternated between pink and red paper and glued each folded piece together leaving one section open so it can be glued flat on the paper.  (Hope that makes sense...)  I hand cut the balloon basket and then used the pinking hearts border punch for the basket edge....attached to the card with a dimensional.  Added a little natural hemp twine and the sentiment from the Whimsical Words set.  Mounted on bashful blue (I believe) and then a pink pirouette card base.

I've sponged clouds a few times since this and each time it seems to get easier....  I also find it easier to use multiple scallop circles glued together.

Daisy Punch Art Card

Using the large and small oval punches, I punched 5 large ovals out of daffodil delight for the petals and sponged them in pumpkin pie ink.  One small oval punch out of chocolate chip for center of the flower.  Two leaves from the wing on the bird punch out of gumball green cardstock (the best green Stampin Up has!) 😉  Then I just hand cut the stem to a fun shape...also in gumball green.  Stamped Your Kindness Makes Such A Difference from the Blooming With Kindness set.  Mounted all that on whisper white, then whisper white again, then daffodil delight, and then a black card base.  Cute and quick card...once u get the stem cut out that is.  😁

Not sure where I saw this one...was on Google images not long ago and ran across it...so thank u to whoever shared your idea.

Warmest Wishes on Your Birthday

Played with the dress framelits die from Stampin Up after seeing this cute card on Pinterest.  Used the framelits for the skirt, 1 in circle punch for coconut bra, and flower from bitty punch pack for lei.  Warmest Wishes on Your Birthday was too cute for the sentiment embossed with pool party powder.  Mounted dress on whisper white, then on chocolate chip, I believe then on melon mambo, and then pool party cardstock. I thought it turned out kinda cute....hope u enjoy!

Party Time Birthday Card

For this card I used an older Stampin' Up set called Party Time.  I just love the cute clown.  Stamped everything with black StazOn ink and then I colored my heart out.  Had some bright colored scrapbook paper for the background and the layers are all made with bright stampin up card stock.  Very fun and colorful!  :)

Birthday Wishes colorful embossed card

For the life of me I cannot remember the name of this Stampin' Up stamp set....but I stamped randomly on some black card stock and sprinkled different colors of embossing powder on each flower and heat embossed them.  I used the Versamark marker to cover the decorative label punch and then just sprinkled a few different colors of embossing powder on it and embossed it as well.  Love the neon chalk look it seems to get with the bright colors on the black paper.

Hello Baby Noah's Ark Card

Needed a card for a baby shower not long ago, so I went with Stampin Up Hello Baby, Noah's Ark stamp.  Colored the Ark and animals with SU markers and sponged some chocolate chip around the edges, mounted it on chocolate chip paper.  A quick embossing folder for some dimension and some cute checkered ribbon.  Coloring took the longest but fairly simple otherwise!  :)

Simple Serene Silhouettes Card

Here is a simple card made with a stamp from the Stampin Up Serene Silhouettes set.  I really love that set!  First punch a large circle out of a post-it note so you can use it as your mask when you sponge your clouds.  For the clouds, punch a couple scallop circles out and glue them together and use that when you sponge the clouds in the background of your circle.  Then stamp the birds and branch stamp from serene silhouettes with black Staz On ink before removing the post-it note.  Choose your sentiment and stamp near the bottom of your card and your done.  Mount on a whisper white card with a few dimensionals....Quick and easy card!

Pacman Punch Art

Ok, here's another fun punch art card.  It's a 6x6 card, so a little bigger than normal.  The Stampin' Up owl punch made the ghosts, just add a couple extra "ears" to the bottom for a ghostly look.  And the word window punch was used to make the divider walls, along with a couple circle punches.  Slap on a few adhesive goggly eyes for the ghosts and your all done.

Hello Baby Punch Art

One of my other loves is punch art...I'm no expert that's for sure, but I sure do love it.  Here is a cute little duck I found in google images somewhere and copied....sorry not sure who from or I would give them the credit....  I just love how he turned out, so cute like he wants a big 'ole hug.  :)

Wildflower Meadow colorful card

Here is my first blog post!  :) So excited to share this one with you.

Thanks to Pinterest (which is super addicting) I cased this card and used it for a swap at a recent weekend long stamping retreat I attended.  I stamped the Stampin' Up Wildflower Meadow background stamp and embossed it in white.  Then I sponged gumball green, daffodil delight, primrose petals, and coastal cabana over the embossing.  I let it dry just a bit, then wiped the front of the card down with a Kleenex to remove any leftover ink from the embossing.  Then stamped happy birthday in crisp cantaloupe, punched with the modern label punch, added two rhinestones and some bakers twine.  Then mounted it on whisper white paper, and a crisp cantaloupe card base.

I love how the sponged colors meet and make it look as if 6 colors were sponged instead of just 4.  I made 14 of these babies and just loved how they turned out.
