Simply Sketched Scrap Card

Ever have a bunch of nice size scraps left over and just hate to throw them away? :)  We'll here's a cute card with some pink scrap and the Simply Sketched set.

First, make your own DSP with some crumb cake and the leaf stamp from the simply sketched set, just randomly stamp it.  Then find three pieces of pink scrap that are close to the same size and trim them to all the same size.  I used some dotto to hold my three pink pieces in place on my grid paper and then stamped the flower across the three colors and also stamped happy birthday wishes in the bottom corner.  Then, separate the pink pieces slightly and mount them on some whisper white.  Mount this on the DSP you created earlier and then mount the whole thing on the card front and your done.

The whole card from one stamp set, plus you use up some scrap.....I just love it!

Frog in a Cauldron Halloween Punch Art

Just in time for Halloween, a cute little frog in a cauldron of bubbling green glimmer paper. (Aka-sugar paper, as my scrapbook friends like to call it..... :)

Bee Mine Punch Art Card

Saw a card very similar to this on someone's blog and just loved it...so first let me say THANK YOU to that person.  If I find where I saw this, I will post the info here.  I wanted to wait until February to share this but I just couldn't resist sharing it now.... :)

Ok so here's what I did....  First thing, your oval punches are your friends on this card!  For the beehive you will want 3 wide ovals, 1 regular oval, a 1 inch circle and one word window punch....all out of daffodil delight, then sponged with Cajun craze.  2 small ovals out of summer sun for the bee, a word window out of whisper white for the bee wings, and use the edge of the oval on your small oval punch to make the black stripes on the bee. The bee stinger is a piece of black scrap and the eye is the smallest circle from the owl punch.  I sketched the branch out with a pencil before cutting and then punched a few leaves out using the end of the small oval punch again and some old olive scraps. I borrowed the alphabet die cuts so I'm not sure of their name, but they are from Stampin' Up....also cut out from daffodil delight.  Arranged and mounted all that on coastal cabana, then whisper white, then a calypso corral card base.  I thought it turned out super cute!  Hope u enjoy
